Climbing Mount Chimborazo

Paul Francis, a former Chairman of the CoS Trustees, is embarking on a new adventure to raise money for Change of Scene.

After trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal, back in July 2014, Paul felt he needed a new challenge and, along with his son, Kyle, has decided to climb Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador.

As Paul says “Kyle and myself are setting off to Ecuador to start acclimatisation and technical skills training on 12th July in preparation for the ascent to the top of Mount Chimborazo. The peak of this extinct volcano is farthest point from the centre of the Earth and with typical temperatures of between minus 20 and minus 30 will be a huge challenge for us.”

We wish Paul and Kyle the best of luck, and if you would like to help them raise money for Change of Scene, please visit their virgin giving page.
