Sunday 26th April saw the launch of the 2.6 Challenge, billed as a chance to Save the Nation’s Charities.

As part of this initiative, the entire Change of Scene team have thrown themselves into a green-fingered challenge to raise money for the Charity.

Initiated by Erica, our CYP Team Manager, our challenge was to pot up 260 plants in 2.6 days and share them with local people. The challenge ran from Sunday 26th April to 3pm today, Tuesday 28th April 2020.

Plants Available

Rising to the occasion, the every member of the CoS team, including staff and volunteers, have spent the last couple of days elbow deep in compost and seedlings! By midday Tuesday we’d managed to pot a combined total of over 369 plants – completely smashing our original target!

In keeping with the green ethos of Cos, we are offering the plants to local people. Due to the Government social distancing guidelines, each team member potted plants from their homes, and consequently, plants are available, free of charge, in London, Farnham, Reading and Wrecclesham. Our hope is that people will take a plant and give a donation to CoS in return.
