Change of Scene provides outdoor learning to vulnerable children and young people on our 16-acre smallholding in Surrey. We want to develop and diversify our services to meet the needs of the growing numbers of children and young people who are either struggling to keep their school place or who have already been excluded. However, we are unable to expand on our current site.
We have set ourselves an ambitious target to find a new site in the locality, fundraise to cover the costs of leaving our existing smallholding and setting ourselves up in our new site and expanding our offer. We want to do this within two years.
We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Fundraising Project Manager to oversee the efficient running of our fundraising campaign and marketing strategy, to develop and diversify the base of supporters and to achieve fundraising targets working with the CEO and staff team, supported by the Board of Trustees.
To succeed, you will have experience of managing the full project cycle, from conception to delivery, ensuring activity is delivered on time, to budget and within best practice. You will have experience of managing mass fundraising products, and you will be skilled at bringing multiple stakeholders to deliver the required outcome, building excellent working relationships throughout.
Closing date: 5pm, Sunday 11th April 2021.
Interview date: 23rd April 2021 via video conferencing.

We are normally based on the site at GU10 4BE but this role will work from home or from wherever makes you happy.
We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, candidates with disabilities, and from men, because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at Change of Scene. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for children.
Change of Scene promotes equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We make employment decisions by matching business needs with skills and experience of candidates, irrespective of age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.
The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.
We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help children.
If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
