Work Begins!

After months of delays, we're delighted that work has finally started on our new site.
Despite receiving planning permission in December, it's taken until now to receive the go ahead from Waverley Borough Council and to get going on our build.
The first stage is clearing and levelling the ground, after which work will begin on the construction itself. To be as environmentally sustainable as possible, no concrete will be used in the build; instead the structure will be situated on ground screws which can be removed completely should there ever be a need in the future.
The building itself is made of wooden pre-fabricated panels and we're hoping the shell will be fully built in only three weeks! Then it's onto the internal fixtures and fittings like electricity and toilets.
Once the building is done, we'll probably need volunteers to help us put together the animal housing and gardening infrastructure and, once all that is done, we hope to move during the school summer holidays in August.
